Setting Up and Administering the Application

The Setup tab allows you to set up the Staff Assignment application and manage Staff Assignment user sessions. Only a Vocera user with System Administrator permission can see the Bed/Role and Setup tabs. Other users can only see the Assignments and Staff tabs.

The system administrator should set up the units for the application and specify the type of authentication used. By default, only Vocera users with System Administration permission can log into Staff Assignment. If people without Vocera user accounts need to use the application, the system administrator must create an application password. Otherwise, you can specify the Administrator account and password to allow people with Vocera user accounts to log into Staff Assignment using their Vocera user ID and password.
