Caller Information in the Dial Signal from Vocera Server

The Dial signal from the Vocera Server can contain caller information that includes the display name and the number. If caller information is present in the Dial signal, it can be used in the INVITE message.

Caller information is included in the Dial signal from the Vocera Server in the following two scenarios:

• The caller's Vocera extension (either the Desk Phone or Extension, Vocera Extension, or dynamic extension, whichever applies) is a Vocera DID number.

• The caller called into Vocera from a phone, and the system has the incoming caller ID information. In this case, the Vocera Server passes through the caller ID.

Caller information includes the display name of the caller unless the display name cannot be identified from the caller ID.
