Follow these steps to verify that the IIS feature installation is correct.

On Windows Server 2008:

Select Start > Control Panel.

Select Programs and Features.

Select Turn Windows features on or off.

Select Roles. Wait for the data to appear.

View the Role Services pane. Ensure that Default Document,
Directory Browsing, HTTP Errors, and Static Content
are installed.

On Windows Server 2012:

In the Server Manager, select Add roles and features to open the Add Roles and Features Wizard.
Click Next.

Select Role-based or feature-based installation. Click Next.

Select the server and click Next.

Expand Web Server (IIS), Web Server, and
Common HTTP Features. Ensure that Default Document,
Directory Browsing, HTTP Errors, and Static Content
are selected.

Click Cancel to exit the wizard, as you do not need to add any IIS features at this time.
