Vocera Mobile Badge Utility Overview

The Vocera Mobile Badge Utility supports on-site troubleshooting of Vocera wearable badges. Pairing the badge with the mobile application allows Vocera administrators and the technical support team to see badge diagnostic information to aid in solving communication and connection challenges.

Prerequisites

Your iOS device must be using a supported operating system to be able to run Mobile Badge Utility (MBU). Similarly, your Vocera badge must be using a supported firmware version to establish connection between MBU and your Vocera badge.

The following iOS versions meet the minimum specifications for our product. Quality of experience may vary based on manufacturer and device model.

This section summarizes the new features in the Vocera Mobile Badge Utility (MBU) release.

  • Smartbadge Support—The MBU app now supports on-site troubleshooting of Vocera Smartbadge. Pairing the Smartbadge with MBU allows Vocera administrators and the technical support team to access diagnostic information.
  • Diagnostic Data Sharing—The MBU users can now share the Smartbadge and Minibadge diagnostics data through email.
  • Minibadge Properties Management—The MBU app now allows to create and configure new badge properties and effortlessly push them to the Minibadge.
  • Minibadge Log Sharing—The MBU app now supports the sharing of Minibadge logs through email.
  • Date and Time Update on Minibadge—The MBU app now allows to update the date and time on the Minibadge.
  • Pinging Vocera Voice and Messaging Servers—The MBU app now allows to ping the Vocera Voice and Messaging servers to check connectivity issues.
