• To support synchronizing members of alert groups or permissions groups that are not used for assignments, the adapter now has an Exclude Assignment Role Groups checkbox to only publish or store group membership changes for groups that do not have an associated required functional role. This option is disabled by default for new and upgrade installations. (ADP-11105)

• To be backwards compatible with datasets on upgrade, the adapter no longer requires dataset configurations. The datasets have been removed from the adapter configuration. (ADP-11203)

• Initial download and syncing of the Voice Group Sync Adapter would take over 1 hour. With this release, the initial download and syncing of the groups will take approximately 15 minutes. (ADP-11153)

• Vocera is pleased to announce the addition of Contact Detail Publishing. This service will allow the adapter to:

  • Enable forwarding on the Vocera Voice Server whenever a user voice profile is created or updated in the Vocera Platform, if the forwarding type is different on the Vocera Voice Server.

  • Update forwarding for all users on startup or failover when the forwarding type does not match the value on the Vocera Voice Server.

The following issues are fixed in Vocera Voice Group Sync Adapter 2.3.3:

• When an invalid REGEX was entered into the system, it caused the Sync processing to fail. Now, an error is logged in the audit log, and the system continues processing the remaing group sources of truth. (ADP-12495)
• When triggering full, frequent syncs there is a possibilty that the system did not clean up all the threads, potentially resulting in a deadlock. This has been corrected. (ADP-13139)

The following issues are fixed in Vocera Voice Group Sync Adapter 2.3.2:

• When migrating from Voice Group Sync 5.x, users were required to input a site regex to initiate the adapter. Now, the adapter defaults to .* to ensure smooth initialization, resolving the need for manual regex entry. (ADP-12029)
• Voice Group Sync now avoids using closed VAI connections during user or group site name queries, resolving synchronization failures caused by invalid connections and closed VAI exceptions. (ADP-12054)
• Voice Group Sync now correctly updates existing groups when their names are changed, preventing the creation of new groups and ensuring seamless integration with existing rules and configurations. (ADP-12096)
• Voice Group Sync now effectively removes nested groups from Engage when they are removed from the voice server. This resolves inconsistencies and ensures synchronization between platforms, streamlining group management processes and enhancing data integrity. (ADP-12128)

The following issues are fixed in Vocera Voice Group Sync Adapter 2.3.1:

• Resolved an issue where VoiceGroupSync could retain closed connections in the VAI connection pool if an operation failed consecutively twice. The fix ensures proper handling of closed connections, preventing pool saturation. (ADP-11803)
• Resolved case mismatch causing users to be incorrectly updated to inactive in Engage due to differences in login case between the voice server and Engage. Implemented case insensitivity in user handling for improved synchronization. (ADP-11573)
• Resolved VoiceGroupSync issue where attempting to add child groups as members of a parent group before creation in Engage caused missing child groups. Code fix implemented to ensure all groups are created before adding them as child members, preventing synchronization errors. (ADP-11572)

The following issues are fixed in Vocera Voice Group Sync Adapter 2.3.0:

• In certain cases, Voice Group Sync failed to remove users from groups. This has been corrected. (ADP-11491)
• Voice Group Sync was failing to close active connections after a failover. This has been corrected. (ADP-11520)

There are no fixed issues in this release.
