The adapter supports WCTP messaging and alerting, and sending messages with additional IHE extensions. When working with alerts that come from a source which uses IHE formatted data (HL7), the data can be stored on additional attributes on the dataset and be passed directly through the rule using templated input.

The Alert State of the underlying alert condition can now be configured in the Outgoing WCTP rule configuration. The Alert State field is available under the IHE PCE Extensions section when the rule is configured to send IHE PCD Extensions, IHE PCD and Vocera Extensions, or Edge Extensions messages. (ADP-10380)
The retraction alert state can now be configured in the adapter configuration. The Retract Alert State field is available under the new Advanced Configuration section in the adapter configuration. (ADP-10509)
The adapter rule configuration now supports multiple choice responses. When the adapter sends a message, the list of responses includes the configured Display Values and Stored Values. On upgrade, the adapter continues to use the previously configured responses. (ADP-10538)
The adapter can now be configured to enable extensions for Edge. A new Edge Extensions option is available under the Enable Extensions dropdown list in the adapter configuration. (ADP-10766)

The adapter can now calculate the place when a rule is triggered by the escalation service. To support this new feature, the adapter configuration displays a new Advanced Configuration section for location mapping options. (ADP-10797)
The adapter now allows alert delivery to Users or Devices depending on the configuration. The Recipient Type field is available under Connection Settings section in the adapter configuration. (ADP-10831)

Additional options have been added to the Rules. A client can now fill in Vocera Extensions along with the IHE PCD Extensions. These are optional fields.
