About Engage SOAP Subscriber Adapter

The Engage SOAP Subscriber Adapter is used to to interact with an external SOAP Web Service. The adapter retrieves information from the external system's WSDL and stores it in the Engage system. Using this stored information, an administrator can configure rules in the Engage datasets that will send requests to and receive responses from the external SOAP Web Service, mapping the request and response elements to dataset entities..

The Engage SOAP Subscriber Adapter can send a request to the external Web Service, based upon a create or update event in a dataset. The adapter can also create or update existing dataset records based upon a response from the external Web Service. Multiple Engage SOAP Subscriber Adapters can be implemented on an Engage appliance.
