Adapters send information to and receive information from the Vocera Platform, as well as monitor and collect data. Each adapter is configured to allow the Vocera Platform to communicate with a specific type of resource and any devices that resource may control.

The Scripted Adapter allows a facility to write their own application program interface (API) to a program that is not yet integrated within the Vocera Platform.

The Scripted Adapter gives the facility a stream of information from their selected interface which allows the facility to transform that data into a variety of different possibilities.
