The Engage Carescape Adapter integrates alarm details from GE Carescape patient monitors with additional information provided by the facility to deliver a more complete context to caregiver devices responding to patient alerts.

For example, the Engage Carescape Adapter implements the GE Carescape broadcast message protocol to allow Engage to receive monitor alarm information directly. Engage then can integrate available data to deliver meaningful information to caregivers via wireless devices and web browsers.

The following issues are fixed in Engage Carescape Adapter 1.1 (1.1.108):

Engage no longer attemps to store \u0000 in Postgres when Carescape configurations fail to match. Now the message text and location are appropriately trimmed. (ADP-4926)

PostgreSQL does not support storing NULL (\0x00) characters in text fields (storing the database NULL value is fully supported). When a message/location failed to match, the data being processed remained untrimmed and left \u0000 or nulls in the data. Engage would not be able to store these audit messages, causing additional errors to occur.
