This release includes the following new features and functionality.
Two-step calling is now available.
You can now call a person by tapping that person's profile picture or initials and tapping the call icon that appears. This makes it easier for you to call someone quickly.
View alert details before accepting or declining the alert.
When you receive an alert, you can now tap View to examine the alert details before you decide whether to accept or decline it. You can also choose to respond to alert notifications at a later time.
Vocera Genie screen now includes Cancel button.
This makes it easier for you to decide that you no longer want to place a call.
After placing a call with a patient context, a conversation is now created with that context.
This enables you to easily follow up on a patient-related call if necessary.
Alerts can now be accepted by multiple users.
A configuration option on the server now enables multiple users to accept the same alert. This is useful if an emergency situation requires several people to respond.
Patient view can be restricted.
A configuration option on the server now ensures that users that belong to specified groups cannot view patient data, but can only view patient locations. This ensures that sensitive patient information cannot be viewed by people who are not authorized to see it.
The user department can now be hidden.
A configuration option on the server now ensures that when a user starts a new chat or call, or manages favorites, the user's department is not displayed on the screen.
Groups can now contain subgroups.
When you tap a group name to display its members, you may see one or more subgroups. Tap a subgroup name to display the members of that subgroup.
Tracking feature usage analytics.
This release includes the following fixes:
SIV-3686 - Call log now correct if person called neither accepts or declines the call.
If a user calls another user, and the called person neither accepts or declines the call, the call log now no longer incorrectly indicates that the call was declined.
UC-8180 - Archived 1-1 conversations now fully loaded when viewed.
If you have archived a 1-1 conversation with a user, you do not have that user marked as a favorite, and you have no other message history with that user, the user's avatar and title now appear when the conversation is loaded from the archive, and the other user's name now appears in search results.
This release includes the following known issues and limitations for versions of
UC-9008 - Notifications for urgent priority alerts may appear only briefly (Android 9 and 10).
If your device is using Android 9 or 10, and you have set the Restrict Notification setting in the Do Not Disturb settings list to "No visuals or sound from notifications", an urgent priority alert notification may appear only briefly on the screen before vanishing. To work around this problem, set your Restrict Notification setting to "No sounds from notifications".
