This release includes the following important changes.

• Default notification behavior has changed in iOS version 12.

  If you are using Vocera Vina on a device that is using iOS version 12 or later, notifications from the same app are, by default, stacked in a group sorted by time received. This means that more recent lower-priority notifications may cover up older higher-priority notifications.

  To revert to the notification behavior used in earlier versions of iOS, do the following:

  1. On your app's home screen, tap the Settings app.
  2. Tap Notifications and Vocera Vina.
  3. Turn off the Notification Grouping option.

You must be using a supported device and operating system to be able to run Vocera Vina.

The following devices are supported:

• Apple iPhones model 6S and later
• Apple iPhones model SE

The following Apple iOS operating systems are supported:

• 10.3+
• 11.0+

The following list contains fixes and improvements made to the Vocera Platform.

This release includes the following known issues and limitations for versions of the Vocera Vina running on Apple iOS operating systems.

• UC-3068 - Client may not reconnect after device reboot.

  If you log into the Vocera Vina app and then reboot your device, the app may not reconnect successfully.

• UC-4621 - Urgent call may not be received when the device is locked and the device's Do Not Disturb setting is on.

  If you have set your device to Do Not Disturb and your device is locked, you may miss an urgent call.

• UC-4636 - Call may be missed when app is force killed.

  If you force kill your app, you may not receive any calls currently being sent to you. Instead, you receive a system notification stating that you have missed a call.

• UC-4745 - Alerts that contain control characters are not processed properly.

  If you send an alert whose text contains a non-printing character (such as the line feed character), the Vocera Vina app may become unresponsive.

• UC-5298 - If you answer a call when your device is locked and then attempt to add a second call, the device displays its list of contacts.

  If you have locked your device screen and you answer a call, and then you attempt to add a second call while still in the first call, you are presented with the device's contact list instead of the users from Vocera Vina.

• UC-5511 - Some permissions not reset when app is uninstalled (iOS 12 Beta).

  On some beta versions of the iOS 12 operating system, if you uninstall Vocera Vina, the camera and microphone permissions that the app has asked for are not reset. If you then reinstall Vocera Vina, it does not ask for these permissions. This is an operating system issue.

• UC-5606 - 1-on-1 chat conversations may disappear if XMPP is restarted.

  If you leave a 1-on-1 chat conversation and rejoin it without sending messages, and then restart XMPP, messages in the chat conversation may be lost.

• UC-5758 - Device does not vibrate when alert received while in a call.

  If you are in a call using your Vocera Vina app and you receive an alert, your device does not vibrate to notify you of the alert.
