This release includes the following new features and functionality.
-
Temporary license expiration clarification
When you receive a temporary license for VMP, the email message that notifies you of the expiry date and time of the temporary license now indicates that the expiry time is GMT. This enables you to determine exactly when your temporary license will expire in your time zone.
-
Messaging can be disabled for selected users
You can now specify that members of a selected Distribution List are to have their text messaging disabled, which means that they cannot send or receive messages. This is useful if some of your users already have a third-party messaging system installed on their devices.
-
Default expiry time for VMI messages increased for new installations
For new installations of VMP, the default amount of time before Vocera Messaging Interface messages sent from the Vocera Voice Server expire has been changed from five minutes to one day. For existing installations, the expiry time remains unchanged unless you change it.
-
Multiple FCM connectors now provided
The VMP Server now provides multiple Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) connectors to enable faster connectivity for Vocera Collaboration Suite users on Android devices.
-
Notification connectivity testing now available
From the VMP Administrator, you can now use a button to test Apple and Google connectivity to ensure that notifications are received properly.

-
CMSG-13801 If you are logging into the Vocera V5000 Smartbadge and Vocera Collaboration Suite at the same time, you occasionally may not be able to set Do Not Disturb on the Smartbadge. This is due to a timing issue with how the logins are processed on the VMP Server.
-
CMSG-13859 If a Vocera Voice Server group is configured to be a non-textable Distribution List and the group is then removed from the Vocera Voice Server, user synchronization cannot be completed.
-
CMSG-13862 If you are using a version of Vocera Voice Server prior to version 5.6.0 or a version of Vocera Smartbadge firmware prior to version 5.0.6, you do not hear a tone on the Vocera Smartbadge when a new message is received. This issue can be resolved by upgrading to Vocera Voice Server version 5.6 or later and Vocera Smartbadge firmware version 5.0.6 or later.
-
CMSG-13919 A signal handler thread in the VMP Server may be blocked when the list of Vocera Client Gateway servers is updated.
