The Vocera Messaging Platform (VMP) provides an enterprise messaging solution designed to address the unique communication challenges of healthcare. Users can leverage the communication capabilities of VMP from the Vocera Collaboration Suite, Vocera Secure Texting, the VMP Web Console, and the Vocera badge and Smartbadge.

Before you can install this release of the Vocera Messaging Platform, you must install version 5.6 or later of the Vocera Voice Server and version 5.0.6 or later of the Vocera Smartbadge firmware. See the Known Issues section of these release notes for more details.

• Mutual Vocera Client Gateway certificate validation

  The Vocera Messaging Platform now validates the VCG certificate and presents a certificate to VCG for validation as needed.

No changes in product behavior in this release.

• CMSG-15595 Expired alerts are now no longer sent to the badge when the user logs in.

• CMSG-15637 When the Vocera Server API sends a "no such message" response, VMP no longer flags it as an error that causes unwanted email messages to be sent.

• CMSG-15647 SOAP threads are no longer blocked when a Firebase Cloud Messaging token cannot be acquired.

• CMSG-15706 The VMP HTTP(s) interface scan now no longer occasionally causes VMP to crash.

This section lists known issues and limitations in this release of the Vocera Messaging Platform.

• CRVC-26275 When you are using VMP 5.10 with Vocera Voice Server version 5.8, the sender name and timestamp of Vocera Voice Server user console messages cannot be displayed in B-series badges.
