About Vocera Messaging Platform
The Vocera Messaging Platform (VMP) provides an enterprise messaging solution designed to address the unique communication challenges of healthcare. Users can leverage the communication capabilities of VMP from the Vocera Collaboration Suite, Vocera Secure Texting, the VMP Web Console, and the Vocera badge and Smartbadge.
Important Upgrade Notice
If your site is running version 5.0.x through 5.5.x of the Vocera Messaging Platform, please refer to Knowledge Article (KA) 12177 before you install this release of VMP. This KA is provided to you when you obtain installation media for this release from Vocera Technical Support. It contains important instructions to help you avoid issues during your upgrade.
VMP 5.10 Server and Firmware Requirements
Before you can install this release of the Vocera Messaging Platform, you must install version 5.6 or later of the Vocera Voice Server and version 5.0.6 or later of the Vocera Smartbadge firmware. See the Known Issues section of these release notes for more details.

Enunciation for SOAP messages enabled
A new option in the VMP Administrator optionally enables VCS clients to enunciate alert messages received via SOAP.

VMP now communicates mass response status
Mass response status updates are now sent to the Vocera Voice Server and other systems.

Deletion and importing of multiple voice groups now more efficient
If you need to delete or import a large number of Vocera Voice Server groups, the operation now happens more efficiently.

Option for automatically logging out inactive personal devices
A new VMP Administrator option, "Time of inactivity for auto logout of personal smartphone client", enables you to automatically log out personal VCS devices after a specified period of time. The default value is 2 weeks.

The App Key ID can now be updated
If the APNS token is regenerated, it is now automatically downloaded and installed by VMP from the Operational Tools portal.

Support for MS Graph authentication
MS Graph may reuse email IDs, which was previously causing issues with alert initiation via email integration. VMP is now able to properly track already handled emails and now uses case-sensitive IDs.

Additional performance improvements
- The thread pool has been increased for status notification updates.
- The getoptions query has been optimized.

CMSG-15264 A database deadlock issue occurring during a mass notification has been resolved.

CMSG-15299 User synchronization now does not lead to VCS clients occasionally downloading incomplete distribution list data.

CMSG-15313 When you create a Vocera Voice Server group with the same name and department type as an existing VMP distribution list, user synchronization now works properly.

CMSG-14697 Messages sent from the Vocera Voice Server Staff Assignment and Web Console are now sent as text messages and are not enunciated.

CMSG-14773 In the VMP Web Console, if you send a mass alert with a large message body and many multiple-choice responses, the scroll bar no longer disappears if the browser size has been reduced.

CMSG-14819 When VMP receives a BadDeviceToken error from APNS, it correctly resets the token in the VMP database when a new token is received from the VCS client.

CMSG-14837 If a VCS user logs out while Tomcat is not working on the Vocera Voice Server, the logout is now processed properly.

CMSG-14845 When VMP cannot identify a message sent from the Vocera Voice Server, the log is now updated with a warning instead of an error and administrators are not sent an email message.

CMSG-14975 If an escalation distribution list has a branch that includes a distribution list and this distribution list has texting disabled, members of the distribution list who have forwarding enabled do not have messages sent to their forwardees.
