Known Issues

This release includes the following known issues and limitations for versions of the Vocera Collaboration Suite running on Apple iOS operating systems.

  1. Incorrect application notification tone played for message sent while VCS app is in background (iOS 10.0.2). If you are using VCS on a device running iOS 10.0.2, and your VCS app receives a message while running in the background, the default Tritone is played instead of the notification tone specified in the application. This happens because of a bug in the iOS 10.0.2 operating system. To resolve this problem, reboot the device.

  2. Second breakthrough call received without chime. If you are in a call, and you receive an incoming urgent call, broadcast, or urgent broadcast that breaks through your existing call, the new call is automatically answered without a notification chime. (DE7800)

  3. Message status not properly updated on iPad. There is a known problem with message status updates when using VCS on an iPad. This occurs when you send a message and then tap the message to display the Message Details screen. If your recipient reads the message, and you then tap Back to return to the message conversation, the message status is not properly updated from Delivered to Read. If you leave the conversation and return to it, the message status is updated. This problem occurs on the iPad only. (DE12333)

  4. Camera may launch with black screen (iOS 10+). If your device is running iOS 10+, there is a possibility that the camera provided with the device may launch with a black screen. To work around this problem, switch to the Video tab and then back to the Photo tab. (DE12490)

  5. Audio not resumed on Vocera call when interrupted by cellular call (iOS 10). If you are using using VCS on a device running iOS 10, and are in a Vocera call and receive a cellular phone call, your Vocera call is interrupted as expected. When the cellular call ends, the audio on the Vocera call is not properly restored. (DE12512)

  6. Login name not updated in VCS 2.0 compatibility mode when new user logs in. If you are using VCS with VMP Server 4.9.4 and are therefore seeing the VCS 2.0 user interface, and you log out from your device as one user and log in as another, the Menu screen displays the name of the first user. If you terminate the app and restart it, the correct user name appears. (DE12585)
