This release includes the following new features and functionality:
- Smarter search now available. When you search in your Favorites list in the Contacts module, a count of the matches found in the Contacts list is also displayed.
Similarly, when you search in your Favorites list in the Alert and Chat modules, a count of the matches found in the All list is displayed.
In either case, you can tap on this message count to display the list of matches. To hide the keyboard when viewing the list of search results, tap the Search
key on your keyboard or scroll the list.
- Separate tone specifications for different notification types. You can now specify a separate tone for
each of the Call, Alert, Chat, Alert Response, and New Content notifications.
- Content module now available. The Content module stores documents created by your organization directly on your device. This
provides access to crucial information such as disaster or emergency preparedness plans.
- Alert response notification now available. When you create and send an Alert, you can specify that you are to receive a response
notification when a number of users have responded to the Alert within an indicated time. You can also specify that you are to receive a
negative response notification if these criteria are not met. This enables you to ensure that an Alert has been
acknowledged by some or all of its intended recipients.
- Bluetooth support now available for Call module. If Bluetooth is activated on your device, you can use it to listen to a Call
or communicate with the Genie.
- Onscreen help now available for some screens. Some screens in the Vocera Collaboration Suite
now offer onscreen help that provides a quick summary of the capabilities of that screen.
- Mass Alert capability now provided. If you need to send an Alert to more than 200 recipients, this Alert is automatically
defined to be a Mass Alert. When viewing a sent or received Mass Alert, the list of recipients is not displayed on the client
but is available from the VMP Web Console.
- Alert subjects and Chat messages optionally not displayed in notifications. Server settings now control whether
to display an Alert subject or Chat message text in the screen that notifies you that you have received a new communication.
This enables you to ensure that confidentiality is not violated.
- Dual Mode Calls now routed to badge. If you are using a badge and the app in Dual Mode, and you initiate a Call
from the app, the call is connected through the badge.
- Push to Talk capability enhanced. In instant conferences and broadcasts, you can now tap the Push to Talk button
to request to talk. The button text or color changes to notify you either that you can begin talking or that the line is busy.
- Unread counts displayed in Menu screen. The icons for the Chat, Alert, and Call modules now display
a count of the number of unread or unheard messages.
- PIN access can now be specified. The system administrator can now specify that you must
supply a four-digit PIN to access the app after you log in. You can also set an option to supply a PIN if
the system does not require one.
Vocera Collaboration Suite version 2.0.1 provides support for all devices
running Android OS 4.0 and later.
Vocera Collaboration Suite 2.0.1 clients are compatible with VMP Server 4.9 and later.
Vocera Collaboration Suite clients are not compatible with VMP Server 4.8.
To use the Vocera Collaboration Suite, you must upgrade your VMP Server.

the following limitations exist:
- Unread counts of Alert messages and Chat sessions may not be completely accurate.
- Some Alert Template functionality may not be available.
- Alert and Chat content is not suppressed in popup notifications.
- In Dual Mode, Calls cannot be originated on the app and connected on the badge.
- Alerts with more than 200 recipients cannot be sent.
- Response notification to a sent Alert is not available.
- Users cannot enable the use of a PIN.

This release includes the following fixes:
-
Chat screen now displayed after Call from Chat session. If you are in a Chat session,
and call another Chat participant, you are now properly returned to the Chat session after the
Call is complete. (22967)
This release includes the following known issues and limitations for versions of the Vocera Collaboration Suite
running on Android operating systems.
- Non-A2DP headsets not supported. In this release, non-A2DP headsets are not supported for use with
the Vocera Collaboration Suite.
- Device unlock screen appears during broadcast. If you have locked your device and
receive a broadcast, the device unlock screen appears when you tap the Push To Talk button. (24285)
- Behavior unpredictable if you are playing music through Bluetooth and then use speaker mode
to receive Call. If you are playing music using Bluetooth, launch Vocera Collaboration Suite,
and switch to speaker mode while making a Call, the behavior of the music application and the app after the Call is completed
is unpredictable. Depending on the device model, the music application may be muted or play through the speaker,
or subsequent Calls may use the speaker even though the Bluetooth icon is highlighted. The workaround is
to reconnect Bluetooth. (24359)
- In Chat, Motorola RAZR cannot take a second photo after the first one is discarded.
On Motorola RAZR devices, if you are in a Chat session, take a photo, and discard it, you cannot take
or send subsequent photographs. This is a known bug in the Motorola RAZR operating system. (24411)
- Device cannot be unlocked with PIN if device lock idle time longer than app PIN idle time.
If the amount of idle time before a PIN is required to unlock a device is greater than the amount
of idle time before a PIN is required to unlock Vocera Collaboration Suite,
the app does not successfully unlock when you type your app PIN. (24416)
- Broadcasts sent through speaker when wired headset is connected. When you have connected
a headset to your device, broadcasts should be received through the headset but are being
sent through the device's speaker instead. (24436)
- Profile picture not displayed in first call after reboot. On some devices, if you reboot,
start the Vocera Collaboration Suite, and receive a Call, the caller's
profile picture is not displayed. The profile picture is displayed on subsequent calls. (24461)
- No ring tone on HTC One device if removed from task list. If you are using an HTC One
device, and you remove Vocera Collaboration Suite from the task list,
no ring tone is heard when an incoming Call is received. (24473)
- Multiple Chat sessions appear when a Chat session is originated from the
VMP Web Console. If you start a Chat session from
Vocera Collaboration Suite, and start a Chat session from
VMP Web Console with the same user, a message sent from the
VMP Web Console should appear on
Vocera Collaboration Suite in the Chat session started from there. (24485)
- Ring tone may not be stopped by volume buttons when screen lock disabled.
On some Android devices, when you receive an Alert when screen lock is disabled, no popup message
appears, and pressing the volume buttons does not stop the Alert ring tone. (24490)
- Handset mode not displayed in first incoming Call after login. If you log into
Vocera Collaboration Suite and receive a Call while in handset mode,
the handset icon is not properly set. Tapping the icon fixes this problem. (24498)
