Vocera Collaboration Suite is a healthcare mobile application that provides real-time situational awareness and actionable patient data to inform clinical decisions so that care team members can easily communicate and collaborate, improving the experience of the patient and the caregiver.

This release includes the following new and enhanced features and functionality.

• Messages can now include Return or Enter key

  When typing a secure message, you can now use the Return or Enter key to create a multi-paragraph message. In previous releases, typing Return or Enter caused the message to send.

This release includes the following important changes.

• Personal device configuration change

  When you are configuring your VCS app for use as a personal device, you now provide the server name or IP address of your server on a separate screen. This is consistent with the setup process for shared devices.

You must be using a supported device and operating system to be able to run Vocera Collaboration Suite.

This release includes the following fixes.

• VCS-21373 Address book entries are no longer displayed as dialable numbers when created as text fields.

• VCS-21374 Hidden distribution lists are no longer displayed when forwarding messages.

This release includes the following known issues and limitations for versions of the Vocera Collaboration Suite running on Apple iOS operating systems.

• VCS-18273 If you receive a notification of an urgent or high priority message while in a Vocera call or cellular call, the notification does not continue after the call is terminated. This is a known issue with the Apple iOS operating system.

• VCS-19053 The incoming notification for a new message is not displayed when you are in the face ID pop up screen. If you lock the screen or the timeout interval is reached, the message is displayed. This is an iOS limitation.

• VCS-20337 If your device is running iOS version 15.0.2 and you install VCS for the first time on the device, messages may be received silently without a notification tone. Terminating the app and restarting it will correct this issue, as will updating to iOS 15.1 or later. This problem occurs on iOS 15.0.2 only.
