• Search across all sites

  When you are viewing the Favorites tab in the Contacts screen, and you perform a search, the search results now include a count of all matches across all sites. This includes sites that you have not selected.

• * Secure messaging can now be disabled

  The Vocera Messaging Platform can now specify a list of users for which secure messaging is disabled. This is useful if your facility is already using a different secure message solution.

• Group name now listed in call log when called by external number

  If an external phone number has called a group, the name of the group is now displayed in the call log.

• ** Calls to extensions or phone numbers in the call log now sent to Vocera badge or Vocera Smartbadge when in Dual Mode

  If you are using a Vocera badge or Vocera Smartbadge and the VCS app in Dual Mode and you place a call to an extension or phone number in the VCS call log, the call is now sent to the badge or Vocera Smartbadge.

• Upgrade warning may appear

  If your facility has not yet upgraded to a VMP version that supports the Apple Notification Service Extension (VMP 5.5.1+), a warning may appear once per day indicating the app should not be updated until the server has been upgraded. After April 1, you will not be able to use versions of VCS that are later than 3.10.1 before you upgrade VMP.

• Panic Call changed to Panic Broadcast

  To summon emergency help, tap Special Actions in the Call Screen and then tap Panic Broadcast.

• * Conversation system messages now delivered silently

  If you are in a conversation and someone joins or leaves it, a notification and its tone are no longer sent. Notifications are now reserved for messages from users.

• ** Voicemail messages and voice reminders now not automatically played

  If you have received a voicemail message or a voice reminder from another person, this message is now not played automatically.

Vocera recommends that you do not upgrade to a new OS version until it has been validated to work correctly with Vocera Collaboration Suite. You will receive a tech alert bulletin when a new version is validated.

Enterprise Devices are those on which Vocera does extensive device performance testing for voice quality and wireless connectivity. They are recommended for use in an enterprise environment.

Any device that supports iOS 13 or later meets the specifications for our product. Quality of experience may vary based on manufacturer and device model. Vocera support for these devices is on a reasonable effort basis.

• VCS-20410 Connection query update to avoid connection timeout.

• VCS-16761 If you are creating a message template, and the template contains a field in which you can provide text, it is no longer difficult to tap in the text field to indicate that you want to type text in it.

• VCS-19829 On some devices running iOS 14, if you receive a call while the VCS app is in the background and then mute the call, you formerly could not answer the call when the app is launched again unless you tapped the call banner at the top of the screen. This problem has been fixed.

• VCS-20006 The Remind Me Later flag is now cleared if another application has been used to read, leave, or hide a message.

• VCS-20140 When a user is added to a conversation, the conversation history is now always provided to this user.

• VCS-20351 In some rare and unusual circumstances, the VCS app was not correctly displaying the patient section for incoming notifications with a patient that a user is not permitted to view. This issue is now resolved.

• VCS-20354 An exception has been added for the Apple Service Extension to avoid some public-signed SSL certificates not being trusted by iOS.

• VCS-20390 Under some conditions, calls received while VCS was in the background and terminated by the initiator or declined by the recipient would cause the user to be set as off network.
