Learn about the importance of dual registration for Vocera Report Server and Vocera Voice Server.
When you use the Vocera Report Server, it downloads system usage statistics from the Vocera Voice Server daily. This information includes user names, group and department names, frequency of use, and so forth.
To prevent unauthorized access to your data, you must register the IP addresses of the Vocera Voice Server and the Vocera Report Server with each other:
In the Vocera Voice Server Administration Console, enter the IP address of the Vocera Report Server in the Report Server IP Address field on the System|License Info page.
In the Vocera Report Server, enter the IP address of the Vocera Voice Server in the Vocera Voice Server IP Address field on the Administration|Server Info page.
This dual registration prevents an unauthorized Vocera Report Server from downloading Vocera Voice Server data simply by specifying its IP address.
