Use the miscellaneous options to control the behavior of the Play Messages commands
and the call setup.
-
Click Preferences in the navigation bar.
-
Click the Miscellaneous tab to display Messaging and Call
Setup options.
-
Use the Messaging fields to control the behavior of the
"Play messages" command.
-
Select Play Messages Oldest First to play messages in
the order they were received and not to play the newest message first.
In any case, urgent messages are played before non-urgent ones.
-
Select Play Voice Message Time and Date to make Genie
state the time and date each voice message was sent during message play.
Even when this option is disabled, press the Call button and say
"Time" to hear the time a message was sent. You can hear the time
during or just after the message is played.
-
Select Play Text Message Time and Date to make Genie
state the time and date each text message was sent.
-
Select Play Voice Messages on Logout to make Genie
announce the number of unread voice mail messages before logging out.
When you issue the Logout command Genie asks if you want to play them
before you log out. Press DND button on the Badge to cancel message
playback.
-
Use the Call Setup fields to control the behavior of the
calls.
-
Select Fast Call Setup if you want to connect the call
as soon as the recipient accepts it skipping Genie's call announcement.
-
Select Announce Through Speaker when you use a headset
(or managed lanyard) and want the badge to play incoming calls or messages
through headset and the announcements through the badge speaker. It controls
playing all the announcements, calls, and messages through the headset.
-
Select Accept Calls Using Buttons Only if you want to
accept or reject calls only through Call or DND/Hold
button and not through Yes and No voice commands
especially in high-noise environments.
-
Click Save Changes.
