Troubleshooting the Badge Property Settings

Troubleshooting the badge property settings is an iterative process. If you did not successfully configure a badge the first time, you can reset the factory defaults and configure the badge again. You can repeat this process as many times as necessary.

To troubleshoot the badge property settings, perform the following tasks:

  1. Display the badge configuration menus.
  2. Reset all the badge properties to the factory default settings.

For more information, refer to Restoring Factory Default Settings.

  3. Launch the Badge Properties Editor again.

When you launch the Badge Properties Editor after the initial configuration, it reloads your working settings from the badge.properties file. For information about launching the Badge Properties Editor, refer to Using the Badge Properties Editor.

  4. Use the Badge Properties Editor to change the incorrect property values.

For hints about what property values are incorrect, refer to Troubleshooting the Initial Badge Configuration. Then change the values as described in Using the Badge Properties Editor.

  5. Configure the badge by running the Badge Configuration Utility again.

For more information, refer to Configuring a Test Badge.
