Remote clients connect through the F5 to interface with Vocera Platform.
This configuration is required on the F5 BIG-IP server for both CUCM and SpectraLink XML adapters. The HTTP proxy (VIP on BIG-IP) is required to include X-Forwarded-For in the header.
On the Vocera Platform, navigate to Authentication Settings (Security > Authentication). In the "Trusted Proxy" field, enter the SNAT address of the VIP.
Create a new HTTP profile in the Big-IP application. Fill in the following fields:
- Name
- Parent Profile
- Insert X-Forwarded-For
- Accept XFF
Create the virtual server and associate the new HTTP profile. Fill in the following fields:
- Name
- Description
- Destination Address/Mack
- Service Port
- Protocol Profile (Client)
- HTTP Profile (Client)
The Vocera Platform will now find the IP address, extract it, and link it to the CUCM exchange.
