Configuring Emergency Location Identification Number (ELIN)

Configure ELINs to allow a 911 emergency responder to call back or connect to a 911 caller.

You must define one or more ELINs to a new or existing Facility or a new or existing AP Location in the system. You can assign ELINs to any number of Facilities and AP Locations in the system.
Note: If ELINs are defined for AP Locations and Facilities in the system, the ELINs for AP Location takes precedence.

System administrators can also perform a bulk action to import the ELINs for AP Locations and Facilities in the system. For more information, see the The Facilities Template and The Access Point Locations Template sections in Bulk Actions .

You can delete ELINs for a Facility or an AP Location if you no longer need them, see the Deleting Emergency Location Identification Number (ELIN) and Adding an Access Point Location for more information.

  2. Click and expand this section to display the Add Number field.
  3. Click the Add Number button to display the Add Emergency Location Identification Number dialog box.
