Calls and Broadcasts from a Patient Context
If you have selected a patient as the context of a group chat or the context of a message sent
using a patient template, you can right-click on the patient name to view a number of call and broadcast
options related to this patient.
Note: These options are available only if you are
also logged into Vocera Vina,
the Vocera Smartbadge
or the Vocera badge, or if you have enabled a console phone to direct calls to.
You can:
- Call the room in which the patient is located, if this is available
- Call the care team assigned to the patient
- Start a broadcast with the care team if you have the necessary permission
- Start an urgent broadcast with the care team if you have the necessary permission
