Hiding the User Department Group

When a user starts a new chat or call on a client, you can specify that the user's department is not to be displayed on the screen.

To hide the user department, define a security policy that includes the Client disable staff departments security policy item. See Creating a Security Policy for details on how to define a security policy.

As an example of how this security policy works, suppose that Grace Morgan has access to the 2WestTele group in the St. Mary's Memorial facility.

When the "Client disable staff departments" policy item is enabled, she can no longer view the department group and search results will not display this department information.
