If you are using iOS version 12 or later, and you have granted VCS permission to use the Apple iOS Critical Alert feature, messages of Urgent priority are sent to you as Critical Alerts.
When you receive a Critical Alert, you hear a sound and a notification is displayed on the lock screen of your device even if your phone is muted or your device's Do Not Disturb setting is on.
To determine whether Critical Alerts are enabled for your VCS app:
- On your device's home screen, tap Settings..
- In the Settings screen, tap Notifications.
- Scroll down to Vocera and tap it.
- Check whether Allow Critical Alerts has been set.
