When Do Not Disturb for Calls is specified, callers are told that you are unavailable, and they are invited to leave a message.
Tone notifications for missed calls, voicemail, and voice reminders are not played while Do Not Disturb For Calls is set. The notifications otherwise remain unchanged.
If you set Do Not Disturb for Calls while off-campus, any call forwarding that you have specified is suspended.
Some Vocera calls may still be put through even when you are in Do Not Disturb for Calls mode:
A person with VIP status can optionally interrupt Do Not Disturb for Calls mode. VIP Status is a permission granted by the system administrator. See the Vocera Voice Server Administration Console Guide for more details.
Your system administrator may have configured the Vocera Voice Server to enable urgent VMI (Vocera Message Interface) messages or all VMI messages to break through Do Not Disturb for Calls mode. See the Vocera Voice Server Administration Console Guide for more details.
Urgent broadcasts always break into Do Not Disturb for Calls mode — you do not get the opportunity to reject them. Your system administrator may also have configured your system to allow urgent calls to always break into Do Not Disturb for Calls mode. The administrator must grant a user permission to make urgent calls and broadcasts.
If you use your app to interact with an urgent call or broadcast, Do Not Disturb for Calls is turned off. This includes ending, accepting, or declining an urgent call or broadcast or putting it on hold. You can talk in an urgent call or broadcast without turning off Do Not Disturb for Calls.
If you receive a cellular call while a Vocera urgent call or broadcast is ongoing in the background, accepting or declining it does not turn off Do Not Disturb for Calls.
