Examine the logs on both the Vocera Voice Server and the
Vocera Environmental Services Integration server to confirm that you have correctly
established the VMI connection.
To confirm the VMI connection:
-
Confirm the connection in the Vocera Voice Server logs.
-
On the VS machine, use
Windows Explorer to navigate to the \vocera\logs directory.
-
Open the most recent server log in a text editor.
Vocera Voice Server log files have the following syntax,
where <Prefix> indicates the type of log file, <Mon> is the three
letter abbreviation of the month, <DD> is the day, <YY> is the
two-digit year, and <HHMM> is the time in 24-hour format:
<Prefix>-<Mon>-<DD>-<YY>-<HHMM>.txt
For example, the following log file was created on 4-July-2014 at 11:30 PM to record system
events:
log-jul-04-14-2330.txt
