Logging in Using Fingerprint Sign In

Vocera Edge Communications provides Fingerprint Sign In on any non-shared device, or devices with "In-hospital Shared Device" turned off. Fingerprint Sign In works on any Android device that has an operating system post-Marshmallow.

Users must have Fingerprint Sign In configured on their device to use this feature.

Note: You must log into your Samsung or Google account to finish the fingerprint sign in process.

Fingerprint Sign In provides quick and easy access to your device so you can get to your Vocera Edge Communications workflows faster.

Access Settings on your Android device.
Tap Biometrics and security.
Tap Fingerprints.
Tap Pattern, PIN, or Password to add these to your device.
Follow all prompts.
Place your finger or thumb on the fingerprint sensor, repeating as instructions allow.
After setting up your fingerprint, you should see a blue thumbprint in the password line of the Vocera Edge Communications application.

Note: If you do not see a thumbprint on the password line, your facility may not have this feature enabled.
Log in with your Vocera Edge username and password.
Access the Profile > Preferences screen.
Tap Fingerprint Sign In.
Enter your Vocera Edge password to enable the process.
