Vocera AMiON Adapter
AMiON OnCall is used by hospitals for on-call physician scheduling, and the application can also manage vacation requests, schedule assignments, and checks for policy violations and staffing balance. Vocera Platform can access and store the AMiON scheduling information, which can then be made available to end users with supported devices, such as Vocera Vina, VCS, and the Vocera badges. Vocera Amtelco Adapter
The Amtelco Adapter provides a mechanism by which on-call schedule information in Amtelco can be stored in Vocera Platform as assignments. This allows the information to be made available to end users of supported devices through other mechanisms. Please review the Port Installatin Guide prior to installation.
Vocera Ascom Adapter
Adapters send information to and receive information from the Vocera Platform, as well as monitor and collect data. Each adapter is configured to allow the Vocera Platform to communicate with a specific type of resource and any devices that resource may control. The Ascom adapter is used to send messages to Ascom supported devices. Please review the Port Installation Guide prior to installing this adapter.
Vocera Assignment Group Sync Adapter
The Vocera Assignment Group Sync Adapter transforms assignments received from an external assignment system to Vocera Platform groups which can be utilized by the Vocera Voice Server. In the absence of an external assignment system, the transformation from groups received from the Vocera Voice Server to assignments on the Vocera Platform allows for proper routing of alerts and messages to the appropriate caregivers. Vocera Assignment Manager Adapter
The Vocera Assignment Manager Adapter enables staff assignment and staff scheduling systems that require additional types of management to have accurate assignment information. These systems may use a different model for their assignment data, or they may provide the assignment data with start and end dates (including future data) and therefore need Vocera Platform to manage the state transitions. Vocera Austco Tacera Adapter
Austco-Tacera is a rich, versatile alert and event interface that can be used by a patient to ask for bedside attention. This interface is a modern TCP/IP network-based Nurse Call system. Vocera can receive these messages and send alerts to the proper channels with priorities and escalating alerts until answered. This interface balances the needs of varied, complex nursing workflows with an architectural desire to manage alert notifications centrally in Vocera's enterprise clinical communication and collaboration system. Vocera Carescape Adapter
The Vocera Carescape Adapter integrates alarm details from GE Carescape patient monitors with additional information provided by the facility to deliver a more complete context to caregiver devices responding to patient alerts. For example, the Vocera Carescape Adapter implements the GE Carescape broadcast message protocol to allow the Vocera Platform to receive monitor alarm information directly. Vocera Platform then can integrate available data to deliver meaningful information to caregivers via wireless devices and web browsers. Vocera Clinical API Adapter
The Vocera Clinical API Adapter is responsible for publishing staff assignments and device assignments to external system based on our Clinical API specification. Please review the Port Installation Guide prior to installing this adapter.
Vocera Compliance Logger Adapter
The Vocera Compliance Logger Adapter allows the facility to log significant compliance events, such as a user login or access to protected health information (PHI), and to access those logs. A separate compliance event log file is created for each day. Logs can be archived to a remote storage location, or they can be retained on the system. Please refer to the Port Installation Guide prior to installing this adapter.
Vocera CUCM Adapter
Adapters send information to and receive information from the Vocera Platform, as well as monitor and collect data. Each adapter is configured to allow the Vocera Platform to communicate with a specific type of resource and any devices that resource may control. For example, the Vocera CUCM Adapter (Cisco Unified Communications Manager) is often used by customers to integrate with Cisco Unified Communications Systems.
Vocera Data Export Adapter
The Vocera Data Export Adapter provides a client with the flexibility to have data elements pushed to their own database. The data push is on demand and based on a rule, and the adapter is designed to perform only 'INSERT' statements. Once the conditions of the rule are met, the data is routed to the Vocera Data Export Adapter Bundle and, if possible, delivered to the client database. If the data cannot be immediately delivered, then it is stored in a persistent queue until it can be routed back to the Vocera Data Export Adapter Bundle for delivery, or is discarded as undeliverable. Vocera EarlySense Adapter
EarlySense is a bedside monitor that uses a sensor pad under the bed to detect certain events. The Vocera EarlySense Adapter receives bed sensor alerts from the bed monitor through the EarlySense Gateway. The alert data will be stored in datasets matching specific requirements. Please review the Port Installation Guide prior to installing this adapter.
Vocera Eventing Adapter
The Vocera Eventing Adapter, unlike most other adapters that rely on an Accept or Decline binary response, has the unique ability to process events and store responses dynamically. These responses can be used later on in rules to send messages with response options. Please review the Port Installation Guide prior to installing this adapter.
Vocera Hillrom Subscriber Adapter
The Vocera Hillrom Subscriber Adapter consumes the clinical staff assignment data published by the Hillrom Clinical Staff API to leverage a single point of administration for staff duty assignments in a clinical environment. The participating web services are designed with REST, and the Hillrom integration can be configured to use plain text communication for sending or receiving. Vocera HL7 Adapter
A Vocera HL7 Adapter is used to communicate with any other system or database that is HL7 capable. It brings the pertinent information, such as lab results, to Vocera Platform and stores those events in the Data Manager. This information is then potentially later sent to the recipient database of that HL7 message based upon Appliance configurations. The content of the message varies depending on the HL7 configuration in the Appliance, but any HL7 message may include data such as patient information and history, lab results, and radiology reports.
Vocera Incoming Email Adapter
The Vocera Incoming Email Adapter receives emails from email addresses that have been enabled within the Vocera Platform. If an email is received from an address that does not match an entry in the list of acceptable senders, then the email is not accepted. Vocera Incoming VMI Adapter
The Vocera Incoming VMI Adapter implements the VMI protocol as a server with the intent of receiving inbound messages and providing responses to the senders. This adapter provides the ability to receive messages and send responses to both alpha-numeric and multiple choice response (MCR) messages. Vocera Incoming WCTP Adapter
The Vocera Incoming WCTP Adapter implements the WCTP protocol as a server (identified as a Carrier Gateway in the specifications) with the intent of receiving inbound messages and providing responses to the senders. This adapter is designed to handle incoming messages, handle rules to send status updates including delivery errors, and also handle responses. Vocera LDAP Adapter
Vocera Platform provides the ability to connect to a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server, allowing users to authenticate with the same set of credentials they use elsewhere in their organization. The Vocera LDAP Adapter configuration settings allow facility administrators to use the organization's existing security configurations, rather than create unique users, groups, or security policies to access the Vocera Platform. Vocera Platform allows connection to only one LDAP server per organization. Please review the Port Installation Guide prior to installing the adapter.
Vocera Lightning Bolt Adapter
Lightning Bolt is used by hospitals for on-call physician scheduling, and the application can also manage vacation requests, schedule assignments, and checks for policy violations and staffing balance. Vocera Platform can access and store the Lightning Bolt scheduling information, which can then be made available to end users with supported devices, such as Vocera Vina, VCS, and the Vocera badges.
Vocera Media Adapter
The Vocera Media Adapter's external access is through an OSGi service defined by a Java interface. The Java interface provides the ability to store a media object, along with associated metadata, and retrieve that metadata, the media, and/or a media thumbnail. The metadata (but not the media data) is stored in a core dataset, along with information to allow the media itself to be retrieved from the media storage provider. Vocera NaviCare Adapter

Vocera Nihon Kohden Adapter
The Vocera Nihon Kohden Adapter integrates alarm details from Nihon Kohden patient monitors with additional information provided by the facility to deliver a more complete context to caregiver devices responding to patient alerts. The Vocera Platform supports multiple instances of the Vocera Nihon Kohden Adapter, each with a unique service URL to connect to a specific Nihon Kohden Communication Gateway Server (CGS). Vocera Outgoing Email Adapter
The Vocera Outgoing Email Adapter sends an email to the email server specified in the settings section of the adapter configuration. The email server sends the message information to the email account specified in the configuration. Users can access the email account from any Internet-enabled device. Vocera Outgoing WCTP Adapter
The Vocera Outgoing WCTP Adapter configuration defines the URL of the WCTP Carrier Gateway, and the host name and port to be used by the WCTP Carrier Gateway to connect back to the enterprise host. Multiple adapter instances may be configured; each instance requires a unique Carrier Gateway URL. Please review the Port Installation Guide prior to installing the adapter.
Vocera Patient Context Adapter
The Vocera Patient Context Adapter provides a REST (Representational State Transfer) service for finding patients (either patients matching a search term or patients assigned to an individual caregiver), finding their care team, and retrieving details about patients. Vocera QGenda Adapter
QGenda is a scheduling application used for scheduling on-call physicians for hospitals. The Vocera QGenda Adapter provides a mechanism by which the on-call schedule information in the QGenda system can be stored in the Vocera Platform as assignments. This will allow the information to be made available to end users of supported devices, such as Vocera Vina, VCS, and the Vocera badges. Vocera Scripted Adapter
The Vocera Scripted Adapter allows a facility to write their own application program interface (API) to a program that is not yet integrated within the Vocera Platform. Additionally, it gives the facility a stream of information from their selected interface which allows the facility to transform that data into a variety of different possibilities. Vocera Shift Admin Adapter
Shift Admin is used by hospitals for on-call physician scheduling, and the application can also manage vacation requests, schedule assignments, and checks for policy violations and staffing balance. Vocera Platform can access and store the Shift Admin scheduling information, which can then be made available to end users with supported devices, such as Vocera Vina, VCS, and the Vocera badges.
Vocera SIP Adapter
The Vocera SIP Adapter (Session Initiation Protocol) is used to receive messages and data from various Nurse Call systems, such as Rauland Responder 5. This data is then used to communicate necessary information, such as the patient's room or bed number in a facility, as well as sending an alert type for that message. By combining the information received through the Vocera SIP Adapter with information received through a device adapter, such as CUCM or Smartphone adapter, then an assigned device can receive a message when a patient alert is triggered. Vocera SOAP Publisher Adapter
The Vocera Platform uses the Vocera SOAP Publisher Adapter to define a custom web service to access and update core objects. Once the administrator has defined the web service, a WSDL describing the service can be retrieved and then an external system can make requests of the adapter for create, update, create-or-update, read, and count data in datasets. Vocera SOAP Subscriber Adapter
The Vocera Platform uses the Vocera SOAP Subscriber Adapter to interact with an external SOAP Web Service. The Vocera SOAP Subscriber Adapter retrieves information from the external system's WSDL and stores it in the Vocera Platform. Using this stored information, an administrator can configure rules in the Vocera Platform datasets that will send requests to and receive responses from the external SOAP Web Service, mapping the request and response elements to dataset entities. Vocera Sotera Adapter
The Vocera Sotera Adapter allows for clinical alert data to be received and stored for patents monitored through a Sotera ESII server. Please review the Port Installation Guide prior to installing the adapter.
Vocera Spacelabs CEI Adapter
The Vocera Spacelabs CEI Adapter integrates alarm details from Spacelabs patient monitors with additional information provided by the facility to deliver a more complete context to caregiver devices responding to patient alerts. Multiple adapter instances are supported, however, each instance requires a separate Spacelabs server host and port. Please review the Port Installation Guide prior to installing the adapter.
Vocera Spacelabs Xprezznet Adapter
The Vocera Spacelabs Xprezznet Adapter is responsible for receiving alarm notifications from the Spacelabs Xprezznet server via a Server Sent Events Stream that is available on the Spacelabs Xprezznet RESTful endpoint. Please review the Port Installation Guide prior to installing the adapter.
Vocera SpectraLink XML Adapter
The Vocera SpectraLink XML Adapter configuration enables the Vocera Platform to request SpectraLink device information (including line appearances and events), and to send alerts and notification messages to SpectraLink endpoints. Please review the Port Installation Guide prior to installing the adapter.
Vocera Stryker Adapter
The Vocera Stryker Adapter provides the ability to receive alarms generated by Stryker smart beds, such as the SecureII line of beds. The beds report to a Stryker iBed Gateway server which in turn makes the alarms and other data the beds generated available for access via update subscriptions. The adapter subscribes to these notifications and generates Vocera alerts based on the configuration and reported alarms. Please review the Port Installation Guide prior to installing the adapter.
Vocera TAP Adapter
The Vocera TAP Adapter (Telelocator Alphanumeric Protocol) is used to receive messages and data from various Nurse Call systems. By combining the information received through the Vocera TAP Adapter with information received through a device adapter, such as Vocera CUCM Adapter or Smartphone adapter, then an assigned device can receive a message when a patient alert is triggered. Vocera VMP Adapter
The Vocera VMP adapter interfaces between Vocera Platform and the Vocera Messaging Platform (VMP) by sending and cancelling alerts, synchronizing Vocera devices with VMP users, and storing alert responses from VMP. Please review the Port Installation Guide prior to installing the adapter.
Vocera Adapter
The Vocera Adapter configuration enables direct communicate with Vocera servers, allowing it to request badge information (including users and groups), and to send alerts and notification messages to Vocera badges. Only one Vocera Adapter can be active in the system. Multiple Vocera Adapter can be configured, but only one can be active at a time. Please review the Port Installation Guide prior to installing the adapter.
Vocera Voice Group Sync Adapter
The Vocera Voice Group Sync Adapter is used to synchronize the users and groups in Vocera Platform and the external Voice Server. This adapter is one part of the solution that synchronizes assignments from external assignment management systems with the Vocera Voice Server groups. The communication with the Vocera Voice Server is handled by the Vocera Administration Interface (VAI). Notification of changes to Groups on the Vocera Voice Server is handled via the Voice Server Interface (VSI). Please review the Port Installation Guide prior to installing the adapter.
Vocera XMPP Adapter
The Vocera XMPP Adapter manages stored data in Vocera Platform datasets to represent conversations and resources. Using these datasets, conditions and rules are configured to interact with other endpoints that are not XMPP-enabled. Vocera XMPP Adapter rules on a dataset are configured to send conversation, message, and presence information to the Vocera XMPP Adapter when this information is created by an external resource.
