Mobile Badge Utility (MBU) is a mobile application that helps administrators configure Vocera badges without the need of the stand-alone BCU system and access point. This app is not a replacement for BCU, which is required for initial badge configuration.
The MBU supports on-site troubleshooting of Vocera Smartbadge and Minibadge. Pairing the badge with the mobile application allows Vocera administrators and the technical support team to see badge diagnostic information to aid in solving communication and connection challenges.
The following are some of the key features of MBU:
Displaying device configuration, status, and connectivity information.
Sharing diagnostics data through email.
Configuring new badge properties on Minibadge.
Updating Date and Time on Minibadge.
Pinging Vocera Voice and Messaging Servers.
