Pairing with Smartphone Apps

You can pair between your Minibadge and smartphone apps (Vocera Vina and VCS app) using Bluetooth for diagnostics if your administrator has enabled this capability on your server.

Note:

When a Minibadge device is paired with the smartphone app, you can view and change some of the settings on your Minibadge device from the smartphone app. When you log in to the smartphone app while Bluetooth is active on your device, or if you activate Bluetooth after you have already logged in, the smartphone app searches for Minibadge devices to pair with. Refer to the VCS or Vina documentation for details.

Bluetooth is turned off by default.

To turn on Bluetooth on your Minibadge for paring with the smartphone app, perform the following steps:

Log in to your C1000 Minibadge.
Press the Up Volume button and then press the Down Volume buttons without releasing the Up Volume button.
The C1000 Minibadge enunciates, "Bluetooth on. Press Call button to confirm."
Press the Call button.
The C1000 Minibadge enunciates, "Enabling Bluetooth." Bluetooth is enabled on your Minibadge. Your device remembers this settings when you login next time.
Search for your Minibadge on the smartphone app for pairing. Refer to the VCS or Vina documentation for details.
