The Vocera NaviCare adapter provides a mechanism for receiving and responding to Nurse Calls from the Hill-Rom NaviCare nurse call system. Each adapter is configured to allow the Engine to communicate with a specific type of resource and any devices that resource may control.

For example, the NaviCare adapter can be used by a patient to ask for bedside attention. The Engine can receive these messages and send alerts to the proper channels with priorities and escalating alerts until answered.
