Known Issues

This release includes the following known issues and limitations for versions of the Vocera Collaboration Suite running on Apple iOS operating systems.

Photo Permissions and iOS 10

iOS 10 introduced an issue between the native camera app and the audio session that causes the native camera app to launch with a black screen. To avoid this, the VCS app explicitly asks for Photo permission when launching.

VCS only interacts with the Photos app when you add an image to a text and choose to Select Picture, or when you edit your profile picture. Pictures taken directly within the app with the Take Picture action do not interact with the Photos app, as these new images are stored within the app's database to keep these images secure.

At no time are the images from the Photos app imported into the VCS app without your explicit direction.
